This month, I had the privilege of joining 175 wedding vendors at Greencrest Manor, one of the most iconic estate wedding venues in Michigan. Tucked away in Battle Creek, this historic property has become one of my favorite places, and after spending more time here, I’m even more convinced why it’s such a dream setting for couples and vendors alike.
About Greencrest Manor
Greencrest Manor sits just far enough from the city to feel like an escape, yet close enough to be easily accessible for guests. It’s a rare find: European elegance meets Midwestern charm. Entering through the iron gates and following the tree-lined drive, guests arrive at a property that blends the elegance of a 17th-century French manor with modern design elements, creating distinctive spaces for gatherings.
The Gardens and Landscaping
The gardens are nothing short of extraordinary. Perfectly manicured hedges, lush lawns, and seasonal blooms make every corner a photo opportunity. The landscaping feels intentional and romantic, designed for couples who want their day framed by natural beauty. Walking through the grounds feels like stepping into a European estate without ever leaving Michigan.
The Mansion Interior
Inside, the manor tells its own story. Elegant woodwork, antique details, and thoughtfully designed spaces offer a timeless backdrop for getting ready or intimate gatherings. For me as a Michigan wedding photographer, the play of natural light inside the mansion is incredible, it elevates every image.
The Celebration House
Featuring open-air doors, hardwood floors, silver lantern chandeliers, and a bright white ceiling, the venue offers a versatile backdrop for any event design. It also includes a 12-foot built-in white bar with back shelving, providing both style and function for your celebration.
The She Shed
Start your wedding day in the garden’s She Shed, designed as a private retreat for breakfast, getting ready, and quiet moments before the celebration. It’s a comfortable, thoughtfully placed space to begin the day.
The Sister Venue: The Mill Haven
Greencrest Manor also has a sister venue, The Mill Haven, which offers a different take on celebration spaces while still carrying that same high-end, intentional design. Together, they give couples options depending on their vision and guest count.

Greencrest Manor: Gather & Grow
This August, Greencrest Manor hosted Gather & Grow, a networking event that brought together 175 wedding professionals. It was the kind of afternoon that reminded us why we love this industry: connection, collaboration, and passion for the work.
We started the afternoon with a welcome cocktail and a stroll through the gardens, getting to know other vendors while soaking in the beauty of the grounds. Jenna, the owner of Greencrest Manor, shared a heartfelt welcome message that set the tone for the afternoon right before we had lunch.
The highlight was a single, extraordinary table designed with fresh flowers and layered details, proof of how powerful intentional design can be. Lunch was a grazing table crafted by Chef Alex and Chantal of Gandia Catering. Every detail was curated, right down to a clever mobile bar filled with vibrant cocktails that later became a takeaway bag of fresh honey and caramels from local vendors.
It was more than just an event, it was a reminder that this work is about people first. We sat together around one beautifully set table sharing so many great conversations!
