Mustard Seed Gardens, located in northern Indianapolis, boasts lush floral landscaping throughout, a modern farmhouse-inspired bridal suite, and an open-concept ceremony space. Lydia first discovered the venue when her family moved to the neighborhood across the street during her high school years, and it had been her dream venue ever since.

Lydia and Nick envisioned a relaxed, intimate ceremony and reception surrounded by their closest family and friends. Rather than following traditional norms, they focused on creating a fun, memorable celebration. They wished for a warm, breezy fall day, and that’s exactly what they got. Although they hadn’t planned for much dancing, their lively guests turned the night into a dance party, with everyone spending much of the evening on the dance floor.

Their design vision featured a modern formal aesthetic with a vintage touch, incorporating black, white, and gold, alongside fall florals in shades of pink, mauve, and peach. The bride wore a stunning 3D floral wedding gown. The gown featured delicate spaghetti straps, a chic square neckline, a sheer corset bodice with exposed boning, and an illusion back that scooped down to the waist. For her shoes, she chose a pair by Kailee P, and her vibrant bouquet reflected an organic, natural design. The bridesmaids wore elegant black dresses, while the groom stood out in a white tuxedo with black accents, contrasting with the groomsmen who wore classic black tuxedos.

The ceremony took place beneath the venue’s towering maple tree, creating a picturesque backdrop. Lydia walked down the aisle to a Taylor Swift song, reflecting her love for the artist creating a special moment. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed champagne on the patio, with a cozy fire warming the evening. The reception began with the couple’s first dance on the patio at sunset, setting a romantic atmosphere. As a proud Swiftie, Lydia ensured Taylor Swift’s music was woven throughout the day, from getting ready and portraits to the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dances.
