The first time Marisa and I talked, we discussed setting up a couples session last winter. Within a few months after we set up the session, I got an email from her telling me to upgrade her sesh to an engagement session and I was full of SO much joy!! Now here in less than a year, I get to photograph their wedding at Wild Blackberry Farms and I cannot be more excited!
Marisa + Jacob became friends at Purdue and knew each other through mutual friends but never really talked until their senior year. Their first date was actually at a Purdue sushi restaurant! Jacob’s love for Jesus caught Marisa’s interest while he noticed how much she cares for everyone, even a complete stranger.
In October, they had plane vouchers to use so they planned a trip to Maine right after Christmas but due to COVID, those plans had changed drastically. They decided to book a last minute trip to Florida. After a 40 minute drive to the airport and waiting in the luggage check in line, Jacob realized he forget his wallet, so yet again, they had to cancel another trip.
They decided to plan another last minute trip but this time to Austin, Texas. While they were on the plane, Marisa had fallen asleep so Jacob took the opportunity to Google some places to propose since he had the ring in his bag. Once they arrived in Texas, they decided to drive to a state park but it ended up being at full capacity! That didn’t stop Jacob’s plan though, he found a place that was a cliffside overlooking the Colorado River. He also brought his nice camera to “take photos for mom”. He set it up, hit record, went to his bag to grab the ring, and got on one knee and proposed!
I am so excited to finally hit publish on their session because goodness, I cannot get over their love and interactions with one another.
I think Marisa’s ring is one of my favorites!!
Paisley was such a sweetheat, and she also looks so sophisticated and I’m obsessed!!
Marisa, girl your EYES are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
