Her work is editorial in eye and warm in feeling — soft, honest color, close attention to the details her couples have considered, and the moments that happen between them. She brings an artist's care to what's already in front of her, so her couples get to be present for the day instead of producing it. Most of them leave with a friend.
Abbie + Joe met in high school, attending rival schools. Abbie’s best friend, who went to school with Joe, introduced them, and their story began. They went separate ways for college, with Abbie attending Saint Mary’s and Joe at IU Bloomington. However, they rekindled their romance at the beginning of sophomore year and have been together ever since, celebrating six years together in January.
Joe proposed in a complete surprise. The day before Christmas Eve, they had plans to visit Joe’s sister and her husband in Mishawaka, followed by dinner. Upon arriving at his sister’s house, Joe suggested seeing the backyard. Stepping outside, Abbie was met with a magical scene: the entire area adorned with lights, a table set with two glasses, and champagne. It was the perfect surprise, and she was amazed by Joe’s meticulous planning.
After the proposal, they toasted with champagne. Still expecting to head to dinner, Joe suggested stopping by Abbie’s parents’ house to show off the ring. Walking in, Abbie was greeted by all their closest friends and family—a second surprise that Joe flawlessly orchestrated. They celebrated the night away, making it an unforgettable experience.
I cannot wait to celebrate these cuties next year in South Bend!
