Jill + Lucas
A Romantic Engagement Session in Indianapolis

Engagements

Her work is editorial in eye and warm in feeling — soft, honest color, close attention to the details her couples have considered, and the moments that happen between them. She brings an artist's care to what's already in front of her, so her couples get to be present for the day instead of producing it. Most of them leave with a friend.

Hayley Moore is a wedding photographer working in digital and film, at home and around the world.

You may have seen these two on the blog before but last time, they weren’t engaged! (Check out their winter couples sesh here).

Back around April, Lucas reached out to me to photograph his proposal to Jill. We had exchanged a handful of emails coordinating the perfect plan. I asked him where he was hoping to propose and he mentioned he wanted to ask Jill to marry him at a special spot, Salomon Farm Park, the place where we had their mini winter session. I was in awe to say the least!!

They first met in the 5th Grade not long after Jill had moved from a small town in Tennessee to Pittsboro, Indiana. Their special moments include Lucas’s baseball games, two proms, summer vacations, and lots of dates to Olive Garden, love it!

During their senior year, Lucas signed to play for Indiana Wesleyan University. Jill decided to attend the same college. I just love how these two are inseparable and totally meant for each other.

Their proposal was a sweet one (trust me, I was there 😉). On May 16th Lucas and Jill arrived at Salomon Farms to take a fun stroll through the beautiful property. Right underneath a beautiful tree, Lucas got down on one knee.

Their hearts were so full and so excited to spend the rest of their lives together. They actually had a funny exchange, he wasn’t sure if she said yes and she wasn’t sure if he even technically asked. I love these two so much lol!

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to document these special moments for these two and I am counting down the days until their big day at White Willow Farms! It has been so fun being a part of their wedding planning journey since the very start. The exciting texts about finding THE venue, seeing her wedding gown, helping with other wedding plans, I cannot WAIT!

I finally got to meet up with Jill + Lucas again but for their engagement session. We started at the stunning Newfields and ended downtown Indy. These two make my job so easy, their love is so natural and they are always full of the warmest smiles. Enjoy scrolling through a handful of my faves from their session.

Also, shout out to Katey Hall for Jills gorgeous makeup!
