Lydia and Nick met while working together and quickly began hanging out. Their first date was a classic ice cream outing with a twist—they made homemade ice cream. Once they made their relationship official, they navigated a long-distance romance between Ohio and Indiana throughout college. They visited each other on weekends and enjoyed date nights to keep their connection strong. A favorite tradition of theirs is making banana pancakes for breakfast and hosting a foster puppy together.
Even though they had been planning their wedding, Nick still wanted to surprise Lydia. After a dinner date, they returned to Lydia’s apartment, which was filled with candles, flower petals, and “Love Story” by Taylor Swift playing in the background. Nick proposed with Lydia’s grandmother’s ring, and had champagne ready for the celebration. To Lydia’s delight, her sister emerged from another room, having set up a camera to capture the special moment. They toasted with champagne and called their loved ones to share the happy news.
I cannot wait to celebrate their love story this fall at the beautiful Mustard Seed Gardens!
