A Stylish Collaboration at One of the Top Chicago Hotel Wedding Venues
I teamed up with some of the most talented wedding vendors in the city for a dreamy editorial shoot that brought three unique love stories to life. The shoot took place at The Blackstone Hotel, an Autograph Collection property and one of the most luxurious wedding hotels in Chicago. Located just steps from Grant Park, it’s the perfect spot for portraits with the skyline and nature just a minute walk away, truly one of the best places to get married in Chicago.
Why You Should Consider a Blackstone Hotel Wedding
There’s a reason this venue is a favorite among both couples and Chicago wedding photographers. With its grand architecture, rich wood-paneled English Room, and the stunning Crystal Ballroom dripping in chandeliers, The Blackstone offers timeless charm and editorial elegance. Whether you’re dreaming of a classic affair or a fashion-forward celebration, this hotel can truly transform into anything you envision.

A Colorful Editorial in the English Room
Our first couple embraced playful romance with a bold, colorful design. Oranges and pinks filled the space with energy, balanced by intimate touches perfect for a cozy dinner. The bride wore a modern A-line gown with a structured strapless bodice covered in lace appliqué. Her look was finished with a full bun updo and pointed plain white heels. The groom looked timeless in a black tux.
Their flat lay included a vibrant, Chicago-themed stationery suite that added a fun local flair. The tablescape featured blush pink floral linens, taper-covered candles, lush florals from end to end, elegant chairs, gold silverware, and a custom patterned menu card with a pink tassel.
Minimalist Sophistication with a Twist
The solo bride gave us a getting-ready look worth saving, sunglasses, robe, and a newspaper-style announcement. Her gown was a sleek fit-and-flare with a plunging V-neckline, wide straps, and a bold bow at the back. The minimalist elegance of her look paired perfectly with half-up waves and pointed pearl-detailed heels.
Chic and Modern Elegance in the Crystal Ballroom
Our second couple brought a modern-chic look with soft blue tones. The bride wore a voluminous satin gown, a ruched sweetheart bodice, and a dramatic bow detail, perfect for the fashion-forward bride. Her soft waves and glam makeup added an effortlessly elegant touch, while her lace pointed-toe heels made a stylish statement. The groom wore a classic black tux.
The details? Refined and romantic. Their flat lay included edge-deckled paper, calligraphy details, a blue floral-lined envelope, and pops of blue throughout. The tablescape featured tall white floral arrangements, pale blue linens, gold-foil stamped waxseal place cards, and French-inspired charger plates. A true editorial dream for Chicago area wedding photographers.
