One night, Mikayla and her roommate decided to go to a house party. Her future fiance’s BROTHER was there and immediately spotted Mikayla as the perfect match for his brother. Not wasting a moment, he called Jay to tell him he met the perfect girl for him. It was a few months later that Mikayla and Jay actually met and went out to dinner. Laid back and casual like the both them, they enjoyed a classic Applebee’s dinner for their first official date!

It was four years later when Jay surprised Mikayla with a trip to Sunriver Resort in Bend, Oregon. Their second night there, they went out to dinner and then went to a nearby lake to relax. As they were walking towards the lake, they had noticed a bunch of photographers…and Jay started getting a little nervous and anxious to find the “PERFECT” spot. After searching for awhile, Jay lead her down a path and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. His plan didn’t go as expected but Mikayla thought it was still so perfect.

I cannot wait to hang out with these two NEXT weekend in Grand Rapids! It’s never too late for your engagement session and I am so glad we fit one in before their big day!
