Lauren + Trey met at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Not long after texting flirty messages back and forth, these two started to hit it off. It was Super Bowl Sunday when these two were texting back and forth about the game. Lauren’s dorm ordered Buffalo Wild Wings which made Trey a litttttle jealous. Being the thoughtful person she is, Lauren asked what his favorites were and walked over to his place to give him some wings (despite the cold snow!!!)
When the school season ended, they ended up going their separate ways for the summer…but not for long. Once Fall rolled around, these two were hanging out and became official and went on their first date to the Columbus Blue Jackets opening game.
It was five years later when Trey asked Lauren to marry him. They went to Franklin Park Conservatory to take family photos with his side. It was just a random Thursday but his childhood friend was taking the photos for them. As they arrived at the location, a rainbow was in the sky and the rain cleared (after a full day of rain) and they started their session.
As they were walking around, they found a small waterfall with a wooden bridge. This was one of Lauren’s favorite spots in the park and Trey knew this was going to be the location for him to get down on one knee. As they finished up, Lauren started walking towards the next spot when Trey grabbed her hand, spun her around and said, “let’s take one more” as he was down on his knee (talk about a movie scene right there, oh my goodness!) They celebrated their engagement with a dinner reservation with family and friends!
I cannot wait for their August wedding at Swan Lake Event Center! Lauren and I are such big Taylor Swift fans so I am so excited to dance to T-Swift with her on the dancefloor!
