Kristen + Ben had grew up in the same small town together near Sandusky, Ohio. Since it’s a small town, everyone knew each other and so, these two were already connected by fate. Although they didn’t date until a few years later, they ended up reconnecting over their passion for helping others and so, Ben finally asked Kristen out on a date. They went to play putt-putt and all of the competitive games in the arcade at Kalahari! After many rounds of fun, they went to a local froyo shop and played board games while enjoying their dessert and soon after enjoyed a movie and shared their first kiss (and butterflies) later that night!

These two knew they wanted to spend forever together so a proposal was destined to happen just four years later! The night before their big trip to Texas, Ben had mentioned he wanted to grab dinner with his brother and sis-in-law. Before dinner, Kristen + Ben walked a path near the Scioto River reminiscing on their time living in Columbus. It was near the end of the walk when Ben mentioned he had a confession, that they are NOT going to dinner. And so, he got down on one knee and proposed! And that wasn’t the only surprise Ben had planned for Kristen…

Both of their immediate families and close friends surprised the pair with their presence for their engagement party that Ben had planned all along! They celebrated the night away with dinner and dancing and soon moved the party to PINS downtown where they would finish the celebration with laughter, bowling, and lovely company. Kristen + Ben’s hearts were so full that night and didn’t want it to end! And so, following the party, they spent their “engagement-moon” in Austin, Texas celebrating their new milestone together!

I cannot wait to document their love story at Swan Lake Event Center next summer!
