Chic Villa Terrace Engagement Photos in Milwaukee

Ashley and Nick’s engagement session was one for the books! My first time photographing in Milwaukee, and what a way to kick things off. Between the historic downtown architecture and the breathtaking Villa Terrace, this city brought their story to life in the best way.

From Small Town Roots to Forever

Ashley and Nick’s story started in Crystal Lake during the pandemic. Ashley was working at her family’s business when Nick’s family moved to town. They ended up working together. After a summer of small talk, Nick worked up the nerve to ask Ashley out. Their first date in St. Charles, IL, was simple and fun: dinner at a riverside brewery, a walk through downtown, and meeting friends for a drink. That night sparked the start of something lasting.

Fast forward to Rosemary Beach, Florida! Nick got down on one knee, totally surprising Ashley right before dinner. Family joined in via FaceTime, her sister flew in to celebrate, and a photographer captured it all. That moment sealed their future together.

Since this was my first session for lovely Milwaukee engagement photos, we kicked things off at the Public Library. Its rich architecture set the tone perfectly — grand, historic, and timeless. From there, we wandered the city streets, soaking in the greenery and the energy of downtown. Before heading to Villa Terrace Engagement Photos, this mix of urban charm and natural backdrops showed off the best of Milwaukee.
