Meet Audrey + Jake, an adorable couple from Illinois! They went to the same high school together but did not meet until their friend groups in college collided. After many flirty interactions, they decided to go out and grab tacos where they would talk for hours and stay past close.

Fast forward 2.5 years later, Jake popped the question while they were on a walk in a forest preserve during winter (Audrey’s favorite season)!

When I met with Audrey, we instantly shared a bond (we also both have golden retrievers so we are constantly loving each others dogs on IG). She had told me it was a dream to book with me and I about cried when she texted me that. These two are seriously so amazing and have such beautiful hearts.

Audrey reached out to me to set up her engagement session and joked about having it in Marquette, Michigan since they would be up there for an entire weekend (6 hours from her, 9 hours from me). I told her I was totally up for traveling to somewhere special. Audrey + Jake go up to Marquette often to explore and hike (Audrey actually went to college up there)!

After a long and gorgeous drive up to the UP, I was ready to explore the town!! The engagement session rolled around and we adventured to all of the cool spots they love. It was my first time visiting the Upper Peninsula and it didn’t disappoint and I was so sad to leave.

May I present to you my first destination engagement session! I am beyond excited for their Fall wedding at Inn At Bay Harbor next year, it’s going to be sooo dreamy!
