I can hardly believe we’re closing the book on 2024—it’s been one of my all-time favorite chapters. This year brought so much growth, self-discovery, and unforgettable adventures. It kicked off in my beloved Charleston and wrapped up in Indianapolis, celebrating with one of the sweetest couples whose wedding I’d been eagerly awaiting. From Indianapolis to Chicago, Detroit, Saugatuck, Charleston, Columbus, Asheville, Kansas City, London, Nice, Paris, Bath, and the Lake District, 2024 was a year filled with incredible travels. I’m completely smitten with everything this year brought my way.
One of my absolute highlights (besides all the travel!) was officially incorporating a professional film camera into my work. Shooting on film transformed my process, encouraging more intentionality in capturing moments. It helped me appreciate the beauty of true-to-color tones and those raw, unfiltered emotions. Last year, I set a goal to embrace less structure and more creative freedom—and wow, did I lean into that! The result? Some stunning imagery that I’m so proud to share with you here.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without my amazing 2024 clients and the incredible vendor friends I had the honor of working alongside. To everyone I collaborated with this year, I’m sending you the biggest virtual hug and heartfelt thanks—you’ve left an unforgettable mark on my journey! Special shoutout to Kristen, who not only got married on my birthday but made me feel so cherished on her special day—your thoughtfulness meant the world. And a lighthearted thank you to my trusty emotional support scrunchie and flowy dresses for keeping me stylish and comfortable through all the weddings and sessions (you’re the real MVPs, haha!).
Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to reconnect with my roots and bring more of me into my business. I want to foster deeper connections with fellow vendors and build genuine friendships within this wonderful industry.
As always, I’m wrapping up with a collection of my “best of engagements” and “best of weddings.” I hope you enjoy these favorites as much as I do. Wishing you a joyful New Year!
