The Avery’s love Birthdays and we make sure we make them special each year…even for our golden retriever Maui. September 4th was his birthday and we had some fun!

Matt baked him a pup cake, he opened presents, and we took him for a birthday walk. Tomorrow he’s going swimming for the last time of the season, it’s one of his favorite things to do!

It felt like we got him just yesterday, they really do grow up fast! Ever since Matt and I got our own place (back in 2016), we’ve wanted a dog. ???? I cried when we first picked him up, he’s a dream come true. Life is better with a golden, believe me.
