A Whimsical European Garden Wedding at Venue3Two

From the moment you step into Venue3Two, you could feel the magic. Nestled just outside Grand Rapids, this stately mansion was the perfect backdrop for a dreamy celebration full of delicate details and joyful moments. As a Michigan wedding photographer, I loved capturing every bit of this Venue3Two wedding with its whimsical, garden-inspired elegance.

Getting Ready at Venue3Two

The morning was calm and full of happiness. While Justin enjoyed a card game with his groomsmen, Cameron was busy enjoying pampering in the beauty chair, all while jamming to her favorite playlist. These genuine moments are some of my favorites to capture as a Michigan wedding photographer, real, unstaged joy before the ceremony begins.

Cameron wore a gorgeous Justin Alexander gown, the Cora silhouette, a classic yet modern choice that perfectly matched the day’s refined vibe. Her shoes were simple but so adorable, complementing her gown and the soft pastel tones of the wedding palette. Her bouquet…let me tell you it was the most stunning arrangement ever, all thanks to Truer Designs. It was an oval shape with all fresh blooms and pastel colors, so full!!

The groom, Justin, looked sharp in a black tuxedo, while the groomsmen wore coordinated gray suits, creating a beautiful contrast that balanced formality with the wedding’s soft, whimsical feel. Justin’s boutonniere featured a delicate pocket arrangement with a soft blue ribbon, perfectly matching the bridal bouquets.

The bridesmaids wore dusty blue dresses from Azazie, carrying smaller, more petite versions of Cameron’s loose, oval-shaped bouquet. The bouquets were filled with whimsical garden blooms in pastels and ivory, with just enough greenery to keep things fresh and natural.

Venue3Two Wedding Vibes: A European Garden Party in Grand Rapids

Cameron and Justin envisioned a light, whimsical, and elegant day, a true European garden party vibe. The wedding colors of dusty blue, pink, peach, and gold were woven through every detail, creating a romantic atmosphere that felt fresh and timeless. Every floral arrangement, piece of stationery, and décor choice celebrated their love for soft pastels and natural elegance, making this one of the most beautiful weddings in Grand Rapids I’ve had the pleasure to photograph.

The flatlay was just as dreamy as the rest of the day, soft, romantic, and so intentional. The invitation suite featured a custom “CJ” monogram, paired with two oval cards that echoed the monogram and included additional details. A light blue envelope lined with a floral pattern added a sweet, spring-inspired touch. The bride brought her own white ring box (a detail I always love), and the suite also included a card for the rehearsal dinner, tying everything together with elegance and purpose.

Intimate Ceremony Under the Deconstructed Arch: A Highlight of the Venue3Two Wedding

The ceremony featured a stunning broken floral arch, bursting with pastel blooms that matched the garden party feel. This unique arch later became the sweetheart table’s backdrop, highlighting how smart design choices can make your décor versatile. The aisle was lined with lush ground florals, making the ceremony feel intimate and full of love at this elegant Venue3Two wedding. They exchanged sweet vows with the most sweet family and friends watching!

Oval Shapes and Floral Details: Personalized Touches Throughout This Grand Rapids Wedding

Inspired by Cameron’s oval engagement ring, ovals were a subtle but recurring design element. From the invitation monogram and ring boxes to the bouquet shapes and table numbers, the theme tied everything together beautifully. The floral designs were a whimsical mix of pastels and ivory, accented with gold, bringing the soft European garden party vision to life in every corner of the wedding venue in Grand Rapids.

Dining and Dancing: A Perfect Reception at Venue3Two

The cocktail hour included fun personalized touches like corn hole boards with the couple’s logo and pet illustrations on custom cocktail napkins. The escort wall displayed a patterned floral backdrop with delicate paper name tags, adding a charming and personal touch to the guest experience. Guests enjoyed passed appetizers like buffalo mozzarella bruschetta and marinated vegetable kabobs, followed by a delicious dinner of sirloin steak and Tuscan chicken.

The reception room at Venue3Two was a beautiful reveal after the ceremony and cocktail hour for the two. Centerpieces featured lush, low arrangements bursting with pastel and ivory blooms accented by gold votives and tapered candles in gold holders, creating a warm, inviting glow.

Floral touches were everywhere, from the reused bridesmaid bouquets decorating the cake table to simple bud vases on cocktail tables. The cake itself was a chocolate delight with coffee-infused buttercream, surrounded by chocolate and vanilla cupcakes nestled among the blooms, creating a whimsical “cake meadow” during their private cake cutting.

Afterward, Cameron and Justin entered the reception as newlyweds and danced the night away in this stunning Grand Rapids wedding venue.
