My second year at the Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan was great. If you want to see my first time there, head on over to this post! I must admit, it wasn’t AS amazing as the first round shockingly enough.
Last time it was cold, cloudy and rainy whereas this round is was sunny and blue skies! Being a photographer, the worst type of lighting is that full on sun around noon and that was the time we were there, yikes! However, it was still a blast!!
I met up with Kara, Amari and baby Noella as well as Samantha, a friend from Instagram (and high school)! You may have seen Kara and her daughter Amari on this blog, if not, head on over to this post! Samantha is a graphic designer and model, and she is AMAZING at it. Head on over to her Etsy shop as well as Instagram!
From seeing beautiful flowers and cute dogs to historic windmills and little shops, the festival was so much fun! If you are ever near Holland, Michigan around the festival dates, check it out! I think Matt and I are going to spend some time in Holland one of these days when the flowers are perfect and the crowds are small! Have you been to the Tulip Festival?!
Starting our day off at the windmill, (a mistake because the shops downtown pack up early, oof!). I honestly love taking photos of this considering all the angles you can get of it! I was with Matt, my mother and my step-father and we did the tour to the top of the windmill, it was ok. The view from the top was pretty sweet but I wasn’t a fan of the climbing, haha!
While I was on the island, I met up with Kara and Samantha and shot some cute portraits for them! It was so nice to finally meet Noella and Samantha!
Once I said my goodbyes, we finished up shopping and headed towards downtown…a place full of MANY dogs and pretty street photography. Oh the joy! A place full of cute dogs is my HEAVEN, let me tell ya what!
That’s all for this week’s post! I had a great time at the festival and cannot wait for round three next year!! If you want to see last year’s photos, head on over to this post!
