Oh Hayley + Corey, you two were seriously so much fun to hang out with a few weekends ago, I felt like we’ve been friends for years! These two lovebirds actually live in Kentucky and we decided to have their engagement session in Cincy, right across the border.
Before I dive into our session, which was full of many events, let me share their sweet story.
Hayley + Corey met during a nutrition class at Bellarmine University. During their first class together, they immediately hit it off. Hayley thought Corey was “just another hot senior” but he ended up being so much more to her. After many hours of getting to know each other, flipping through “couples quizzes”, sipping coffee, and taking silly selfies, they made their relationship official.
A year and a half later, they started their day at Starbucks while walking around the campus and soon picked up some grub from Panera and had a lunch in the park. After a full day of walking around and enjoying their town, they headed home to get ready for dinner. Because of Covid, they hadn’t done a fancy date so Corey promised to plan one that day. While Hayley was getting ready, she got a phone call from her dad because her stepmom was wanting to do a family photo session.
They went out to dinner at their favorite, Mojito Tapas (their first date spot). After finishing up dinner, they headed to the location for family photos. There was a cute bench set up with beautiful flowers next to it. Hayley’s mom directed them to sit on the bench for some photos. Just after sitting down, Corey turned to Hayley and asked her to marry him. Of course Hayley said yes as tears pooled her eyes. So sweet!
I remember when I first met Hayley + Corey over the phone, we instantly hit it off as well. They are seriously so kind and I cannot wait for their big day. Leading up to the session, I noticed a chance for rain. We decided to go for it and I am so happy we did. We started at Ault Park and about 30 minutes into our session, the clouds came in and it started raining. Luckily I had the cutest umbrellas and that these two were up for an adventure. The rain cleared not long after and we finished up our time at the park. We then headed downtown Cincinnati and then the sun came out! We explored the riverfront as well as the famous blue bridge (which was built in the 1800’s….I got a little queazy lol). My sessions are usually two hours but somehow we ended up spending 5 hours together, I couldn’t get enough of these two and the adventure we had together.
And then the rain rolled in, but we went with it and goodness, how fun?!
How gorgeous is Hayley’s dress? I remember when she sent me a photo, I told her that’s the one! So pretty and fun!
Seriously love this image below so much, pure excitement and joy, just as an engagement session should be!
