Meet Brooklyn + Dylan! These two went to different high schools but they knew of each other since the towns were small and close. They added each other on Facebook and after many photo “like” exchanges, Dylan messaged Brooklyn and they’ve become best friends since.
Their first date featured their true love, ice cream. Brooklyn was working at a small pizza place in town and when she got off work one night, she really wanted ice cream. She texted Dylan saying she was going to grab some ice cream, want to join? Dylan had been getting ready for bed but decided to join in on the late night ice cream run.
With no ice cream shops open, they swung into Steak & Shake and stayed until 1am talking and drinking milkshakes. Their next three dates included ice cream and now, it’s become their love language. Dylan still has the receipt from the night (4 years later).
About three years later, Brooklyn + Dylan went on a vacation to Tennessee (one of her favorite places). After a few days of hiking, they decided to check out “Lookout Rock”. After a strenuous hike up to the lookout, Dylan asked if there was anything that would make Brooklyn happier than right now, and he got down on one knee. As they were walking back down to the car, they run into a group of people that turned our to be both of their families. Dylan had planned the proposal so perfectly and Brooklyn had no idea.
When I first met these two, they were quite shy but boy did they come out of their shell during our session, they were so much fun to hang out with at the beach! They also included their sweetheart of a pup, Nash (named after their special place). He was quite photogenic, just wait until you see him hamming up the camera and playing with his ball!
I am so excited to venture back up to my hometown for their big day! Brooklyn + Dylan are getting married at Marion Magnolia Farms in Cassopolis, Michigan and I am so excited to see their vision come to life.
