From College Classmates to Soulmates
Ashley and Evan’s love story began in Geography class at Northern Kentucky University during their freshman year. Between inside jokes and easy conversation, these two quickly became close friends. That summer, their friendship blossomed into something more, and by fall, it was official!
For their first date, they went to Color Me Mine, a cozy pottery painting studio in Northern Kentucky. After crafting their masterpieces, they wrapped up the night with ice cream, creating the first of many sweet memories together.
A Romantic Hawaiian Proposal
Fast forward four years, and Ashley and Evan took a tropical getaway to Honolulu, Hawaii, with some of their closest friends. As the sun dipped below the horizon on Waikiki Beach, Evan got down on one knee and asked Ashley to spend forever with him. With the ocean waves behind them and the sky glowing in soft hues, it was a picture-perfect proposal.
A Destination Engagement Session on Anna Maria Island
Originally, Ashley and Evan planned to have their engagement session on Lake Michigan, but when I found out they’d be visiting Anna Maria Island, Florida, around the same time I would be there, I pitched the idea of a destination engagement session—and they were all in!
We booked an Airbnb on AMI together, making a fun trip out of it while capturing some of the most beautiful Anna Maria Island engagement photos. The island’s laid-back vibe, stunning beaches, and glowing sunsets made for the perfect setting.
Exploring the Streets & Ending at Bean Point Beach
We spent the evening wandering through the charming streets of Anna Maria Island, soaking in the quaint coastal charm before heading to the most breathtaking beach on the island—Bean Point Beach.
With its soft white sand, swaying sea oats, and panoramic ocean views, Bean Point Beach was the dreamiest backdrop for the final moments of their session. The golden hour light, the gentle sea breeze, and the pure joy between Ashley and Evan made for some truly magical shots.
Counting Down to Their Cincinnati Wedding
Come September, Ashley and Evan will be tying the knot at The French House in Cincinnati, and I cannot wait to see Ashley’s vision come to life! If their engagement session was any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with love, laughter, and stunning moments.
