2022 has grown to be one of my favorite years by far! We kicked off the wedding season with Lauren + Bradley’s wedding in Fort Wayne and ended the 2022 season at that same venue with Nikki + Conner. We traveled near and far; Indianapolis, Columbus, Wilmington, Phoenix, Lexington, Chicago, Saugatuck, Cleveland, Grand Rapids, South Bend, and to top it all off, a beautiful workshop full of many gorgeous shoots in Charleston. One of my favorite parts of 2022 were the travels! I crossed off a handful of bucket list venues and locations and it seriously made me feel so inspired and ready for the new year.
From fostering already made friendships to the building of new and growing ones really brought my heart joy and was another favorite part of the year for me. I seriously love every single one of my couples and I hope every single one of you know that you mean so much to me!
This year was full of growth and intention. I was able to slow down and capture moments from a different perspective. I broke free of my chains, did things a little differently, and learned to look at my work as pieces of art. It made me fall in love with myself and my images. I tried to pay attention to everything I could. I found joy in even the smallest things on wedding days. Whether it was a cute wedding favor or the stunning bridal bouquets and gowns, I always felt like it wasn’t always copy and paste, every detail was different and kept me on my toes. And I learned to incorporate those elements in the story of their images.
One of my biggest accomplishments this year was being featured on Style Me Pretty (shout out to Laura + Bill for making this dream come true because of their wedding). I never in a million years thought my work deserved to be on their platform but I am slowly learning that I am worth it, I do create beautiful art, and I am capable of these big dreams of mine.
Last but not least, I wanted to take a moment to thank every single one of you who have grown with me and shown an endless amount of love and support. I truly get to do what I love to do because of you, I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you! Thank you a million times over and over for making this dream into reality.
