Maddie + Evan first met while they were both attending their senior year at Indiana University! They quickly became friends in their molecular biology lab and continued their friendship the next semester in chemistry. After graduating, they both went onto grad school but still kept close (they both loved Game of Thrones and it was a hot topic between the two).

Fast forward to their second year of grad school, they decided to date (however their first three years was long distance). Their first real date was at Angus Barn in Raleigh, North Carolina for Evan’s birthday. Distance didn’t stop these two from becoming close.

About three years after dating, the two had picked out a ring together. Evan had told Maddie they were going back to IU to grab some apparel and then head over to Oliver Winery to meet up with some friends. The pair had walked out to the Rosewell house by the sample gates and that’s where Evan proposed. They celebrated at Malibu Grill in Bloomington and spent the night at the union hotel!
