Meet Cabralin + Jake, 7th grade crushes turned boyfriend and girlfriend turned engaged. Their love story began on a soccer field where each others families became close. Cabralin would leave Jake on “read” for 7 years…but they would still continue to see each other over the years.

Fast forward to their senior year in high school, Cabralin’s prom date canceled on her a week before prom. She sent over a text to Jake and he got his tux that same night! When they graduated, they would go their separate ways still kept in touch. When Jake went away for basic training for the army, Cabralin would write him letters and FaceTime. When Jake came home, they they started to hangout but weren’t technically “official”. One night while driving her home, he finally told Cabralin he has liked her since the 7th grade and how it’s always been her. The butterflies filled her stomach and to this day, she still gets them. Almost all of their relationship had been long distance, 4 months into making it official, Jake got deployed overseas. Nothing can stop their love though!

Over a year and a half of dating, Jake had told Cabralin to pick her favorite restaurant, get a new dress and get glammed up. He made it seem like it was the day he was going to propose. Later that night, he had told her he did it to throw her off. That next day, Jake had told Cabralin he was making them dinner and would have it ready by the time she got home. As Cabralin walked up the front porch steps and opens the door, she sees him. Rose petals on the floor, twinkly lights hung, and a sign that read, “Will you marry me?”
